Brady's New Ears!

For most of Brady's two years of life, he has battled ear infections. We were referred to an Ear Nose & Throat doctor who said it would be best to put tubes in his ears and take out his adnoids to cut down on infections and runny noses. Today was his surgery to have that done. Most people agree that ear tubes make all the difference for children who have ear trouble, so we will see...

We left the house at 5:30am to be at Texas Children's Hospital by 6:00am. When we got there they had a huge play room full of all of Brady's favorite toys- even a mower!

After playing for a little while we were given these special pajamas to wear for surgery. They were nice and comfy too!

The doctors and nurses could not have been any better! Everyone there is so friendly and good with children. They took him back right on time and made things as easy as possible on us. Brady did great and never even got scared. I am thankful to all of the hospital staff for setting him up for success :)

After surgery, we were able to come hold Brady as he woke up. He was pretty out of it for the most part, but I am sure it helped him to have his parents with him.
In the car, he fell right to sleep and slept for most of the morning. Thankfully! When he woke up he was cranky for the rest of the day, so we are hoping to have our normal Brady (with new ears) back tomorrow.
