One Thing We Love About Fall

If your daddy works hard to rake all of the leaves in the backyard, you have to take advantage of that huge pile!

The End!

Pumpkin Heads

We had beautiful weather today, so the kids and I went outside to dress up their pumpkins. Luke & Brady had chosen a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch at school so we used those. The above picture was before we got started.

Brady and his "puntin"!

Luke chose the pirate as I thought he would!

Silly Brady!

Owen just enjoyed being outside! He can't wait until next year when he can join in on the pumpkin fun, but for now he is happy in his bouncy seat watching his brothers.

Owen's Baby Dedication

Today was Owen's Baby Dedication at our church, Crosspoint Church.
Baby Dedication is a time for parents to publicly commit to raise their child using Godly principles which are solely based on the teachings within the Holy Bible.

Happy Boy! Excited for his big day!

Our family.

All of the parents and children up on the stage.
As siblings, Brady and Luke went up with us.
Baby Dedication is not to be confused with baptism which is a choice Owen will have to make on his own later in life. We pray that he will choose to follow God and obey Him in baptism, but that is a choice that only he can make.
We appreciate the prayers of our friends and family as we strive to raise Godly young men.
Big Brother Brady

Brady was quite the ham up on stage during the dedication. He enjoyed being front and center for everyone to see him. It doesn't seem like this middle child thing is affecting him to badly ;)

Snuggle Buddies

These two have become quite the snugglers. They like to fall asleep next to each other. Sweet, sweet, sweet!
Brady likes to snuggle too, but just doesn't really stay still long enough to get a picture.

Naptime In His Big Boy Bed

Up until today, Owen has been kinda napping wherever he falls asleep. Sometimes in his bassinet, sometimes in his bouncy seat, sometimes in his carrier... you get the point. Today we put him down for a nap in his crib. He did great and slept for a long time until I went up and snapped his picture which woke him up. Oh well, I had to get a picture!

Pearland Oiler Homecoming 2010

Last night was the Pearland Oilers Homecoming game. We went early and tailgated with some of our friends and family. Luke LOVES to tailgate, so he had been looking forward to this all week long.
Our family
Brady, Madi, Luke, & Abi
The Crockett's were there too, but had to leave a little early.

Future Homecoming King & Queen ;)

Owen enjoyed tailgating too. He got a nice long nap in the cool breeze.

Mom & Owen

One of Luke's favorite parts of every game is when the football players run out of the runthrough. So... Papi took him down on the field to see the whole thing UP CLOSE!

Brady & his cousin Karly played in the stands and waved to the players as they ran out. So cute!
To top it all off, the Oilers even won the game to complete a very Happy Homecoming!

Allen Boys- Six Weeks Old

I thought it would be fun to pull out pictures of Luke and Brady when they were six weeks old to see if Owen looked like the two of them when they were his age.

Owen 6 weeks

Brady 6 weeks

Luke 6 weeks

Yes, some similarities but each boy seems to have their own look.

Owen is 6 Weeks!

Yay! Owen turned 6 weeks old yesterday!
He had a doctor's appointment and had to get one shot, which was not fun- but he handled it like a champ.

Here are his 6 week stats...
10 lbs. 12 oz.
Bedtime between 10:30-11:00pm
then wakes up anytime between 2:00am-4:00am,
then again around 6:00am.
Still wearing newborn clothes, although they are getting a little more snug these days.
Drinks about 4 ounces of milk every 3 hours during the day.
Loves to play in his bouncy seat and go for walks outside.

Hay Field

I keep driving by these awesome hay bails and always want to take a picture in front of them. I finally saw a super cute picture of the kids sitting on top of the bail. What a genius idea! So- I had to have one myself!

I know, I know... TOTALLY unsafe, but I got the picture of all three!

Learning So Much!

Luke is continuing to learn so much in his PreK 4 class this year. Mrs. Palm, his teacher, sends home assignments for us to work on that go along with what they cover in class. This week, she asked us to use sidewalk chalk to practice writing Luke's name and the vowels A,E,I,O,U. As you can see...Luke is really coming along. He did his whole assignment perfectly!

Brady isn't quite to the point of writing his name yet, but he learns right alongside Luke. He tries to copy what he writes and I believe he learns a lot from that.

Very nice job Brady!

A stick person is always a must when drawing with sidewalk chalk!

Along with getting your hands completely covered in chalk! BLUE chalk that is...Luke always picks the blue!

and Baby O doesn't care as long as we are outside!

Sometimes when I see these precious faces...

I can't help but grab my camera.

Brady's Teddy Bear Picnic

Today was Brady's turn to have a Teddy Bear Picnic at school! He had been looking forward to this since yesterday when "Bubba" got to have his. This is the bear he chose to take with him for the big day. Brady made this bear at Build a Bear this past summer.
I am so glad the weather was beautiful again today so Brady could enjoy his picnic as much as Luke did yesterday.

Sweet Little Baby Feet

Owen's feet at 36 days old.
They may be tiny now, but my prayer is that as Owen's footsteps get bigger and bigger God will use him to do mighty things for His kingdom.

Luke's Teddy Bear Picnic

Today was Luke's Teddy Bear Picnic at school. Each child was supposed to bring their favorite teddy bear to school and they got to eat a picnic lunch outside. The weather has been perfect for a picnic so this could not have come at a better time! Not to mention, picnics are Luke's ALL TIME favorite thing to do!

The whole class outside for a picnic!

Luke smiled from ear to ear the whole time!

Madi with her lunch.

Luke's other friend Jackson.

Back At Home...

Owen turned 5 weeks yesterday!

Brady gets to have his Teddy Bear Picnic tomorrow! He is super excited!
