Copy Cat

I have to note this before to much longer...

Lately Caleb & I have noticed that Brady repeats EVERYTHING Luke says. It is the cutest thing. Every time Luke talks you can expect another little voice to chime in right behind him with the Brady version of what Luke just said. I am sure this is just a little brother thing that all littles do, but it is really funny.

Another thing- this week Brady said two more sentences:
"Bless you Daddy"- after Caleb sneezed
"Papa mow grass"

I love this stage when he can finally comunicate with us in his own little way.

One More Picture

Here is one more picture from our photo session the other day. This one was not it my preview, but I like it a lot!
I realized today that this will probably be our last professional picture of Brady & Luke together...our next one will include Owen!

Brady's Birthday Pics

One of my sweet friends Katie Little has a photography business. Last week she did a very quick photo session with Brady for his second birthday. Quick because neither of us were really feeling all that great. She ended up getting some good pictures though. I can't wait to see the rest...

Madi's Dance Recital

Today I took Luke to his friend Madi's dance recital. In the above picture she is the 5th one from the left. She did a really good job on her routine and looked "very beautiful" (luke's words exactly) in her costume.

Here are the two of them after the recital. Sweet friends!

The recital was held in The Wortham Center in Downtown Houston. So, after it was over, Luke and I walked around for a minute to see all of the tall buildings. He wanted me to get a picture of him on this tall hill. Isn't he handsome!
We are going back to downtown this week to have lunch with Daddy at work, so he will get to go inside one of the buildings! He can't wait!

Happy 29th Birthday Caleb!

Yesterday June 25, 2010- Caleb turned 29!

Thankfully, he had the day off, so we could celebrate all day long! The boys and I woke him up with Happy Birthday wishes followed by breakfast.

After lunch we enjoyed some birthday cake. One of Caleb's favorites is Pina Colada cake. Yum!

We went to Cafe Adobe for dinner. Some of our friends joined us in welcoming one last year of Caleb's 20's. What a fun day!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Luke & Brady woke Daddy up with their Father's Day wishes to him in bed!
Luke's version: "happy fadders day!"
Brady's version: "happy day!"

One of the gifts they gave him was this key chain which said "We lub you daddy" on the front. (Inside joke around our house because Luke still says "lub" instead of "love.)

On the back it said "Luke, Brady, Owen 2010

Here are the boys with Caleb before church this morning.
At church, Luke was asked to go up on stage and help Papi do a special job. He did it and was a pro!
After church, we went to Yaya & Papi's house for lunch and swimming!

What a fun Father's Day!

Toy Story 3

Luke loves movies! One of his all time favorites is Toy Story. Today Toy Story 3 came out in theaters, so we met some friends and went to see it. It was a wonderful movie (even Mommy enjoyed it)!

Here are Luke and Alex waiting for the movie to start and enjoying some popcorn, or "hopcorn" as Luke calls it.

VBS- continued

Check out this adorable stick horse Luke made yesterday at VBS! I think it is so cute and he has had so much fun with it! They also got cowboy hats yesterday- which he has NOT taken off since!

Tonight was the last night, so it was family night with a petting zoo, pony rides, games & food.

Luke petting a goat.

Riding his pony "Jack"! Alex is behind him riding his pony. They had so much fun tonight and were sad it was over. Now we can look forward to VBS at our church at the beginning of August.

VBS 2010- Shadycrest Baptist Church

Shadycrest Baptist (where Luke & Brady go to school) is having their VBS this week. The theme for this year is Saddle Ridge Ranch. They have done an excellent job with all of the decorations and really have made it feel like you are on a ranch.

Luke invited his friend Alex from our church to come with him this year. They are in a class with most of Luke old classmates from last year. They have lots of fun! Luke looks forward to going every night this week!

Last night he made this adorable craft. It is a horse made out of his handprint! So cute. I love this kind of stuff!

Summer Kickoff Party

Luke & Brady hosted a Summer Kickoff Party today at our house. Each boy picked a few friends to invite to come over to play, splash, eat, and have fun to get the summer off to a good start.

My party people!

A summer party isn't a party without some watermelon.

Alex & Luke being silly!

Madi, Alex, & Luke splashing and enjoying some chips.

Brady & Abi on the fort.

The whole gang eating popsicles!

Ashton & Brady

Madi & Luke (or should I say Batman & Batgirl?)

Everyone playing in the sprinkler.

This morning as we were getting ready for the party Luke said, "Mommy, you're the bestest mom ever!" It made me feel so good!

Father's Day Pictures Continued

After I got my disk from our photo shoot the other day, I had to put a few more of my favorite pictures on my blog...
