Owen Daniel Allen turned 8 months old at the end of April. Unfortunately, he was sick that whole week, so we are just now getting to do his 8 month picture.
Owen is on the MOVE! It's hard to catch him still at all these days. He can crawl, pull up, and cruise around furniture. Just last night we caught him venturing up the stairs :/
He still doesn't have any teeth, but it seems like we should be seeing one any day. As you can see in the above picture he is gnawing away on his little hand. I will keep you posted ;)
He still isn't much of a huge baby food fan, but he will eat it. He is holding out for the good stuff! He loves his water and is known for his "chugging" abilities. He rarely lets a sippy cup of water just sit. He likes cheerios, watermelon, cantaloupe, and anything else we will let him chew on.
As for words, he says "Mama", "Dadda", "Bubba", and "Bye Bye". We are working on getting him to wave bye bye and I think he did it last night to Mrs. B.
Schedule wise- he is on his two nap a day schedule and sleeps about 10 hours a night (sometimes he wakes during the night, sometimes he doesn't).
Owen is still sweet as ever and as still as much of a Mommy's Boy as he has ever been which is totally fine with me. His brothers crack him up and can do know wrong in his eyes. He can be totally in meltdown mode in the car, but when Bubba gets in from school he starts smiling. Daddy knows his ticklish spot and makes sure it's still there every single day! We all love to hear his sweet little chuckle.
That about sums it up for right now. Owen is looking forward to his first trip to the beach this week!
