I love these!
Ok- So I found what I want for Mother's Day. I have been reading this really cool blog. Last Friday she started a giveaway for these beautiful necklaces http://lisaleonardonline.com/. Check them out- you will want one too! You can put your kiddos names on them, or anything you want- she has lots to choose from.
A Really Nice Time
This morning we had a breakfast with the women's ministry at our church. This breakfast was a kick-off for the new ministry which is called Nexus. We had put lots of work into it, and it all paid off. The whole "theme" of the breakfast was to get to know some of the women in our church who you may not already know and I met some really nice new folks who I may not have met otherwise. Plus, I am always thankful for girl time! Now we will get busy planning our fashion show which will be April 25th- YAY!

Eventful Day in the Neighborhood...
Brady the Fireman!
Luke the Football Player!
Yesterday afternoon our elderly neighbor fell and broke his hip. A firetruck and an ambulance came out to help him. While we were waiting for them to get him on the stretcher- the fireman gave Luke a firehat and firebadge! Luke was able to get an up close look at the firetruck too which was really cool! We were sad for our neighbors fall, but happy to know that he will be ok.

Dreams Really DO Come True!
As long as I have known Caleb (since Pre-K) he has been a HUGE Duke basketball fan. Duke is in N. Carolina and tickets to their games are really hard to get. I have heard that some people wait years to get these tickets. Thanks to a really sweet lady at our church, Caleb & his dad were able to get tickets and go this weekend. They had a blast! He said it was everything he thought it would be and better. I am SO glad they got to go because this truly was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Brotherly Love
Tonight as I was feeding Brady his cereal, Luke kept asking "Can I feed him mommy?" At first I told him not right now, maybe another time. He kept asking and I could tell he really wanted to try. He watches me feed him every night, so I know he has been paying attention. Finally I said ok and put a tiny bit (much less than I usually put) on the spoon and let him try. He did SO good! Then he went to get more on the spoon and give him another bite, then another and another. He was so sweet and gentle too. It melted my heart. What a sweet big brother he is to his baby brother.
Another thing- Luke has started calling Brady "B-ball". I guess he sort of got it from us because our nickname for Brady is "B". So, he added a ball to the end and there you have it- B-ball!

What a cool daddy!
Brady's first b-ball game!
You can tell Brady already sometimes gets annoyed by his brother- look at his face...
Luke before he met his friends
Brady giving Yaya sweet kisses.
I forgot to post these last week, but I just found them in my camera so I decided to go ahead and put them up. Last Tuesday night Brady went to his first basketball game! Yaya, Papi, & Uncle Sam took both boys to see the Pearland Oilers play.
We heard that Brady kept his eye very closely on the ball and Luke spent most of his time playing with some other children his age.
Not sure who won the game- I think they left at halftime.

Brady's 21st Birthday & Pajama/Pizza Day!
Brady's 21st birthday picture!
Here is Luke & one of his classmates at Pajama/Pizza Day.
We celebrated Brady's birthday by letting him swing in the baby swing for the first time. The pictures from that didn't turn out that great though.
Today was also Pajama & Pizza Day at Luke's school. Luke was so excited about it! He had to wear his batman pajamas and he was hoping someone else would be wearing their Robin pjs, but he had no such luck...

Wednesday at the Park!
Brady likes to be outside no matter where we are...
Luke having a banana break- you can't tell he has a banana in his mouth- can you???
Today we went to the park with our friends Summer, Grey, & Joleigh. Grey is Luke's age and Joleigh is Brady's age. It was fun to get out and get some fresh air. It really wasn't that cold either. A fun time was had by all! Next week the boys will get to ride their scooters...

Our New Ride...
Precious passengers!
I know, I know, we look like super nerds, but how else am I going to ride a bike with two kids. I had a kid seat for the back of my bike, but now that we have Brady that won't do. We took it for a practice ride tonight and it was actually lots of fun. The kids loved it. Hey- at least I am getting some sort of work out...

Update
You are looking at a very well rested little Brady! He slept for 12 uninterrupted hours last night. I am so very proud of him. It is so funny though because even though he didn't wake up in the middle of the night, I still did. I guess my body is just so used to waking up. I can easily re-train myself though. Not a problem!
Let's hope he does it again tonight...

We finally fed him!
We went ahead and started Brady on cereal two nights ago. This wasn't the first time he has ever tried it- he has had it from time to time. We are going to go ahead and start feeding it to him every night before bed. He is almost five months and the doctor said he could have it if we want to give it to him. So we did!
I hope you like the pictures.

Happy Birthday Brady!
20 weeks!
We are still waking up at 2:00 am, but I have a new method to try. I re-read the sleeping chapter in my Baby Whisperer book and got a little pep talk from her. She is amazing! I am going to try her method (which she says should take only three nights) so maybe we will be sleeping better by next week. Cross your fingers!
Brady is doing great going to sleep on his own for naps though. Just he really wants to wake up and eat at 2:00 am.
Another thing- Luke has decided to also start waking up in the middle of the night. The boys rooms as right next to each other, so that causes Brady to wake up. YIKES!!!
I have to keep telling myself it won't be like this forever!
I am just extremely tired- so I am turning everything into a much bigger deal than it should be- ya know!

HELP!
Ok- Lately I have felt like we are getting absolutely NOWHERE! We have been trying the cry out thing in the middle of the night with Brady so he will stop waking up at night... Well, Sunday night he screamed in his bed for an hour and fourty five minutes- then I just finally gave him a bottle... I guess his will was stronger than mine. I haven't made him cry out since- I just can't afford to loose that kind of sleep at night.
My only fear about this is that he will just get into a habit of waking up to eat at night when he doesn't really need to anymore. I don't know what to do with this little kid- Luke slept through the night at 6 weeks and never looked back.
Then- yesterday I decided to start potty training Luke. He did ok yesterday evening & today at school, but as soon as he got home from school it all went downhill. He had five accidents in an hour and it wasn't because I didn't take him to the potty enough- I did- he just wouldn't go.
So, we are back in diapers...
I just feel like these two things are completely out of my control & I hate that. I can usually do pretty good once I get my mind set on something, but on these things I feel like a failure.

Happy New Year!
Surprise! Mamaw & Papaw stopped by before going home yesterday morning. They came in for the Texas Bowl Tuesday night. Go RICE OWLS!
This is Brady's friend Ally. Isn't she a doll. She is crazy about Brady!
Brady & Luke in their matching shirts. Today is Brady's 19 week birthday.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We celebrated the new year with a little get together at our house last night. It was lots of fun- just some of our friends came over with their kids. It was especially nice because we were able to get Brady down at a decent time and still have fun without our night being over at 8:30...you know how that goes sometimes!
Today we stayed home and took down our Christmas decorations then went over to the Allen's house for black eyed peas & cabbage. I hope everyone else had a safe & happy NEW YEAR!
Stick with your day job!
