On a Day Like Today...

it's almost a sin to not grab a slushie and go straight to the park after picking Bubba up from school. The weather today was amazing, so that's exactly what we did!

Luke goes to Mad Science on Mondays, so we pick him up at 4:00. Lately they have been running over though- today we waited 20 MINUTES past 4:00 for our little mad scientist to come out. They must be doing some crazy stuff in there...

Anyway...after that we went straight to the park with slushies in hand! (well, almost- brady pokes a hole in his cup EVERY single time and we never make it out of the car with his. I keep giving him another try though)

Owen was a happy camper the whole time as you can see :) He loves the park!

Brady has mad skills. Luke was having fun too- not sure why I dont have one single picture of him :( sorry Luke

There were tons of people at the park today. We met up with some friends and Owen finally had someone his size to play with. He thought it was super cool to swing with his friend Gage.

Oh! and he also learned a new word today at the park..."weeeee" he said it every time he saw the swings! so cute!

Happy Birthday Aunt Leigh

Last Friday I took a quick road trip to Austin to visit my Aunt Leigh for her 50th birthday. Some of our family members from Cleveland also came in town which was an extra special treat because I don't get to see them very often. Aunt Erika, who is my grandmother's sister and her daughter Alisha are pictured in the photo above with me & Aunt Leigh.

Although our visit was brief, I had so much fun spending time with that side of my family. Aunt Leigh is one of my dearest aunts whom I have always had a special relationship with, so there was NO WAY I was gonna miss this day.

Happy Birthday Aunt Leigh- I love you & I like you too!

So Proud of My Luke!

Luke has done really well this year in Kindergarten. He has learned a ton and has had awesome behavior all year too. Each day the teacher sends home this chart to show what color your child was on that day. I am so happy to report that every single day thus far Luke has been on green! With the exception of the two days he was on purple which is only given for exceptional behavior. I know, I am totally bragging, but I am so proud of him.

Anyway...for each month that he stays on green throughout the month and never changes his color he is rewarded with $2 at the end of the month. He can use his money to do whatever he wants to do with it. So last weekend he took all of those $2 from all of those months and was able to buy a Star Wars battle ship at Target. (well, kinda, i am a sucker and i matched his money and helped him with the purchase- he deserved it)

Also, I just found this paper he wrote at school about why he chose me as his Valentine. Apparently, I am worthy because I let him play soccer. It's the little things in life... ya know :)

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

This week we are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday at school! Sadly, we lost our Thing One & Thing Two shirts from last year though :( So, we decided to go with stripes instead...

Take ONE: Brady is still a little upset with me for making him change out of his soccer shorts and into something that matched a little better. (please ignore the puffy eyes)

Brady & I whipped up some Thing One & Thing Two cupcakes yesterday and he couldn't wait to take them today! I apologized to the teacher for the amount of sugar I was exposing these kiddos to...

Take TWO: Still a little upset about the shorts :/

Take THREE: I threatened a spank if he didn't get over the shorts situation and I finally got a smile. I told him there was NO WAY we were gonna let the shorts ruin this fun day for us.

Owen looks so big sitting on the stairs :(

Fun Fun Day!

Spring Soccer Season

This season Madi and Luke get to play on a team together for soccer. They have been friends since they were babies, but haven't ever got to play a sport together. Madi is a little less aggressive (as are most other little girls this age) but Luke told her the seriousness and I think they have an understanding...

Today was their first game.

Owen loves it when Mommy brings the snacks for the team because he gets to enjoy all kinds of cool stuff. Baby size water bottles are the best!

Brady is at the age now where he REALLY wants to play. Coming to games and practice to watch Bubba play is literally like torture. He even asked if he could wear Luke's old jersey to the game today. I know this is just a hard phase since he is the little brother and isnt quite old enough to be on the team, but I can't wait until he gets his own turn.

Luke and his team played a great game and won! It was fun to be back watching Luke play. He takes games so seriously. He will do whatever it takes to make sure his team wins.

All smiles after a big win!

Brothers & Sisters!

Go Texan Day

Friday, March 24th was Go Texan Day which meant free dress code day at Luke's school. I laid out all of his cute cowboy clothes the night before so they would be ready first thing in the morning. Well...Friday is also PE Day. Luke was not about to wear his boots to PE because "Mom, there is no way I can run in those boots" I tried my best to change his mind but he wasn't budging. Oh well, Brady & Owen have Go Texan Day in a few weeks so I am sure I can get them in their boots...

This is the way he walked out the door on Go Texan Day...

Smile for the Camera!

Owen is learning just like his brothers did that when Mommy has her camera you need to smile. He is getting really good at his "cheeeeeeeese" smile!
