Kindergarten Tour

Today we went to Luke's new school for the Kindergarten tour. So far, Luke has been really excited about his new school and hasn't shown any apprehension at all. I hope that continues because I think I am probably nervous enough for both of us ;) One cool thing about the tour today was that we got to meet some other children who will also be new to the school. Carson, who Luke knew from his preschool, was on the tour too. Yay! He already has a friend there! Big boy right out front of the school. One of the first friendly faces we met when we went to register Luke was Mrs. Matusick the librarian. She is the sweetest thing and always makes Luke feel really welcome and special. On the tour today we got to see the following parts of the school: - cafeteria - library - kindergarten classrooms - playground (brand new!) - gym - music room - science room - art room The only thing we didn't see that Luke thought was odd was the chapel... He asked the tour guide where it was. It was pretty funny. The school was really cool! Check out that life size Dr. Seuss picture! There are only two hallways in the whole school. I felt very secure knowing that it was a fairly small place. Another cool thing about Shadycrest Elementary is that they have a brand new gym complete with this huge mascot on the wall. Awesome! Here's the cafeteria. Our tour guide said parents are welcome to come eat lunch anytime!

Owen Can Crawl!

Last Thursday, April 7th, Owen took his first crawl! He had been practicing for quite some time and he finally got it!

He loves to go for shoes, so we have had to keep them put away lately.

Now that Owen is on the move, he has been pulling up on things too. It probably won't be long until Little Mr. is cruzing around. YIKES!

Kindergarten Registration

Today I took Luke up to his new school to get him all registered for Kindergarten! He was really excited to see where he will be going next year. Thankfully, the people there were really friendly and made him feel so welcome. The librarian came up to him and introduced herself and told him all about their library. I think he will really like being there. Not to mention the fact that he is so excited to be an OWL!!!! I had to take this next picture. Why? You ask? Because every since the first day I showed him this school (a year or two ago) he has asked if they had a fun playgroud and did they have monkey bars? If you look through the fence you can see part of their playground, but we couldn't tell if there were monkey bars or not. Guess we will just have to find out when he gets to play there... Next week we will go back to the school for the Kindergarten tour!

Our Little Talker...

This morning while The Wilsons were here Owen said his first official word "bu bu bu bu ba"! Since he did it the first time, he hasn't stopped all day. Guess he is so used to hearing the boys call each other Bubba, so he decided to join in.

A Visit From The Wilsons!

When we lived in Waco, we met some of our favorite friends Nicki & Brent Wilson. They could not be more like us. We still keep in touch and get to see them from time to time. Since we moved back to Pearland, both of us have had kids which are about the same age. Anyway...their family came and stayed with us for the NCAA Championship game at Reliant. The kids got a chance to hang out and seem to be hitting it off just as well as we did way back in 2002 with their parents ;)

Hat Wearing 101

In Bball's world- this is the ONLY way to wear a hat. I am not sure if I have ever seen him wear any sort of hat or helmet on frontwards. Funny!

Owen is 7 Months!

March 31, 2011 our little Owen Daniel turned 7 months old! His sweet little laid back personality is shining through more than ever before. He laughs so sweetly and at just about anything. He still adores his big brothers and they feel the same about him. Brady always calls Owen his "little seetheart" and Luke calls him his "little cute pie". It is so sweet to see how much those two love him and care for him. Owen still enjoys his time outside just as much as ever! I got this sweet picture of him one afternoon while our neighbor Nat was watching him. He is still learning how to crawl. He did master the art of sitting up from a laying position, so I think he will be on the move before we know it. It's so much fun watching him grow. He is such a perfect addition to our family!
