Last Day of School 2010

Today was Luke & Brady's last day of school. They had splash day to celebrate the end of a great year!

Luke & Mrs. Alissa his MDO 3 teacher. We will miss her so much. Luke keeps saying over and over that he doesn't want a new teacher. The adjustment may be rough, but I know he will like his new teacher next year in PreK 4.

Brady and Mrs. Linda, his MDO 1 teacher. She is special to me because she is his first teacher EVER. Next year, Brady will be in Mrs. Gemma's class who was Luke's very first teacher.
Both boys had a great year & grew so much. We love their school and are so blessed to have in right in our neighborhood!

Misc Weekend Pictures

We were glad to have Erin & Noah stay with us the rest of the weekend after the shower until Tuesday. It was great to spend lots of time with them since we may not see them again until the baby gets here. Above is our back to back picture that we took Sunday after church.

The boys wanted their picture too, so here they are!

Erin's Baby Shower

This weekend I hosted a baby shower for my sister in law Erin with her friend Casey. She is due to have my first little nephew Cash on July 25th.

Since Cash's nursery is done in a cowboy theme, we decided to decorate the shower that way too.

Erin loves ice cream, so we went with an ice cream bar! What a fun summer treat it was!

Her diaper cake.

Cowboy clothes line.

She got lots of nice gifts for Cash & had fun getting to visit with her Texas friends & family.
Cash and Owen will be about 6 weeks apart. We can't wait for them to be able to grow up together!

Mother's Day 2010

Today was a wonderful Mother's Day! There is nothing better to me than having two (almost three) precious boys. Both Luke & Brady woke me up and told me "Happy Mother's Day" & "Happy Day" (Brady's version).

Above are the gifts the boys made me. Brady made the picture on the left and Luke made the rest.

I also got this necklace for Mother's Day. A mother's nest with an egg for Brady, Luke, & Owen.

Caleb made us breakfast, then we headed to church. After church we went over to my cousin's house to celebrate Mother's Day & Madelyn's baby dedication.
The rest of the afternoon we spent together with just our family. Earlier in the week Luke had mentioned that he wanted to take me to Disney World for Mother's Day. Well...since it was kinda short notice (wink, wink) we told him to think of another plan. Then he came up with the idea to have a picnic at the park. That comes as no surprise since this is his all time favorite thing to do at the moment.

We got some fried chicken and went to the park for a Mother's Day Picnic!

The boys had fun playing...

and swinging!

On the way home Luke asked when it was going to be Kids Day. Caleb answered him by saying "every day is Kids Day"! It was pretty funny.
Thanks boys & Caleb for a wonderful Mother's Day.

Class Pictures

Brady's One Year Old Class at In His Steps Mother's Day Out & Preschool
Monday/Wednesday

Mrs. Linda, Brady, Brendan, Kaitlyn, Evan, & Will
(Kaitlyn is the little girl who has a love/hate relationship with Brady. They love to pick on each other- both have taken turns biting the other all year long)

Luke's MDO3 class at In His Steps
Monday/Wednesday

Mrs. Alissa, Joseph, Trinity, Luke, Rafi, & Madi
(at the beginning of the year Luke would pronounce Joseph's name as "Jofess". He finally has it down now though. Luke and Madi have been in the same class now for 3 years in a row.)

A Visit From the Firemen!

Last week the Pearland Fire Department came out to Luke's school for a visit. Luke was really excited about getting to see the firemen and asking them some questions he had. Here were a couple of the ones he had in advance...
- Do you live in the fire station by our house?
- Do you help Batman?

After school when I picked him up he told me all about meeting them and touring the fire truck. He did get to ask a couple of questions and here's how they went...
- Do you help Batman & Spiderman?
YES, Whenever they need us
- Do you like hot dogs?
- YES
Somehow he forgot the question about the fire station, but he said he will remember that one next time.

He got a cool fireman hat & was excited the rest of the day!

Family Fun Day

Yesterday was Family Fun Day at our church.
They had lots of fun family games, ice cream, and crafts at the end.

Caleb & Luke getting ready for the three legged race.

On your mark...get set... GO!

Crossing the shimmy board to make it first to the finish line!

Next was the card board races. Mom & Luke were not as successful at this one.

Brady enjoyed the bubble pool!

Next up...The Sack Races! Luke's favorite!

His true competitive spirit came out in these races. He was hungry for a win ;)

He won the first race, so he played again with the preschoolers.

Hopping t0 the finish line!

Then it was the Parent Sack Race.

and I saw exactly where Luke got his competitive spirit from!

Caleb played the aardvark race. He had to put a cone over his head and kick a tennis ball to the end.

Our family!

The last race was the pie eating contest.

Luke wanted to savor the flavor of the whip cream more than win this one ;)

He licked his plate clean!

After all of the races were finished the kids got to enjoy an ice cream buffet.

Mostly sprinkles and chocolate. Needless to say, he wouldn't be eating much dinner tonight.

Brady had popcorn because he wasn't aware of the ice cream buffet.

Johnny & Luke enjoying their sweet treat!

After ice cream was craft time & the boys made crosses to put in their room!
What a fun family day!
