Memorial Weekend Fun!

This weekend has been nonstop! We started Saturday with our friend Kyle's first birthday. It was a sports themed party & the kids had a blast. They had a photographer there who got some really cute pictures of the kids having fun.

After the party, we headed straight to our monthly neighborhood dinner. This month was hosted by one of our neighbors in their beautiful backyard. We had delicious barbecue & met some new neighbors!

After church on Sunday we had some friends over to Yaya & Papi's house to swim & eat hamburgers. It was lots of fun & the kids had a blast in the pool!

Brady is a pro swimmer now with his floaties! He was come such a long way from just a few weeks ago when he didn't even want to get in the water.

As always...Luke is the "fish" in the family!

Annual Crawfish Boil

Last weekend we hosted our annual Crawfish Boil with our small group from church. The crawfish were HUGE & extra spicy! Special thanks to Patrick who boils them for us & does such an awesome job.

Brady wasn't to sure about the crawfish at first, but after a while he was a little more brave and willing to take a picture as long as Daddy would hold it.

Vacation 2010

This year, we decided to vacation at La Toretta Resort on Lake Conroe. The cool thing about this place is that Caleb & I came here for youth camp when we were teenagers. The whole place has been completely remodeled and is an awesome vacation spot.


There was a 3.5 acre water park at the resort which had an amazing toddler & kid play area. Brady wasn't sure about the kid area at first, but Luke jumped right in as you can see below.

After a short period of time Brady decided to join in on the fun!

The toddler area was fun too, but Brady enjoyed it more than Luke.

The resort also had a lake with a beach. Luke couldn't wait to go out deep in the water. Brady enjoyed playing in the sand until he got used to the idea of swimming in the lake.

We ate dinner each night at a really good restaurant at the resort called "Prime". Everyone really enjoyed their delicious food.

After dinner we went to play some Putt Putt!

We had a wonderful time spending family time together & will definitely be back to LaToretta!

Brady's First Sentence

I caught Brady saying his first sentence today. Here's how it went...

Luke took a wooden spoon that Brady was playing with so Brady went over to him and said, "Bubba! Bady hab it!" (translation- Bubba, Brady have it)

Typical, in his very first sentence he is pleading for justice with his big brother who has done him wrong.

Brady's New Room

A few weeks ago, we decided it was time for Brady to say goodbye to his baby nursery & hello to a new "big boy" room. For now, he does still sleep in his baby crib- not sure when we are going to take the plunge into a big boy bed...

Brady LOVES dogs, but we didn't want to do the entire room in dogs. So, we decided to just put a few pictures up of dogs that way we can change them out later if he changes his mind. The above picture is hanging right above his bed. A lady at our church painted it for him. The first time he saw it there he just laughed & said "Momma! Dog!!!" it was priceless.

First Day of Summer!!!

Since today was the boys first official day of summer we had to think of something to do outside. Our sweet friends Summer, Grey, & Joleigh called and invited us to join them at the splash park.


So the kids had a wonderful time splashing, splashing, & splashing some more!
